Euro
Euro is a yacht of 20 feet on the waterline, built in 1912 by Hilditch of Carrickfergus to A. Mylne & Co. design number 166, which was developed from the Aurora & Brisa design series (1909). The vessel remains in existence. With a beam of 7 feet and draft of 3 feet, and sail area of 320 square feet, Euro represents the smaller cruising craft that formed a significant part of Mylne's practice during the Edwardian and early twentieth-century period.

Historical Context
A. Mylne & Co. established itself in the 1890s as a leading Scottish yacht design office, and by 1909–1912 was producing a diverse range of craft from large racing yachts to economical cruising vessels for amateur owners. Design 166, from which Euro was built, belonged to this practical, cost-conscious segment. The Aurora & Brisa series, introduced in 1909, represented an effort to create versatile small cruising yachts that could be built economically by provincial yards while maintaining the seaworthiness and elegance for which Mylne was known. The choice of Hilditch in Carrickfergus, rather than a Clyde builder, underlines Mylne's readiness to work with builders across the Irish Sea and further afield. Euro's survival is significant; many small yachts of this era were lost, broken up, or significantly rebuilt.
